We are within a week of our departure date. We are excited and nervous about our move. We can’t wait to see what God has for us, but are aware that our lives will never be the same.
In this last week before the move, there are a few things we wanted to tell people.
1. Prayer for our visas.
After a month of waiting, we finally received the official invitation this week from Kevin’s school to go. We immediately took this and sent it to the consulate in San Francisco for the visas. The consulate is giving us trouble with getting Allison and the girls’ visas. We feel it is all going to work out, but please pray that unnecessary obstacles will be removed. These delays are adding to the already expensive costs.
2. Make sure you are on our update list.
If you are reading this update on your emails, you are good. If you came to the site to read this, please re-enter your email in the red box to the bottom of this entry. You will receive an email from Feedburner Email Subscriptions. You will need to click on the link to confirm your subscription.
3. Thank God for a great success on our moving sale.
We held a moving sale this week and had wonderful help and support getting everything set up and people coming to the sale. After a very busy hour of the sale, someone came up and bought the whole lot for his second-hand store. This was a wonderful blessing from God because it gave us back so much time. We took the kids to the playground right afterwards and celebrated how they wanted.
By the way, the kids both were home sick this week with fevers and have done incredibly well through it all. They seem to finally be all better except for coughs. Please pray for health this next week especially during the travels.
Thank you for partnering with us to help orphans.
